The New Widget is for Everyone. Starting When and What are the Benefits?
We have introduced our new pick-up point search engine in March and some of you have already implemented it in your e-shop. If you haven’t done so already, our innovation is available for trial immediately. The automatic transformation of widget 5 to the new version will occur on the 1.7. 2021.
Why use the new widget v6? “Number six” has better functions, has higher performance and is more user- friendly compared to the widget 5 version. Additionally, we constantly keep developing and improving it, which is mainly done on the basis of your feedback, and which helps us improve and modify widget according to your needs and wishes.
According to your wishes: attribute carriers
Several weeks have gone by since implementing the new version of widget, but according to your feedback, we have managed to develop a new functionality: attribute carriers, thanks to which it is possible to filter the map of widget according to the carrier! Thanks to this new function, your customer for example in Slovenia can choose from pick-up points of DPD.
Improved pick-up point filter
In version 6, it is possible to filter according to the available capacity of pick-up points or hide pick-up points which are full at the given moment.
External pick-up points
Pick-up points of our partners are now available on our search engine which is used mainly abroad. The network of pick-up points will therefore expand for your foreign customers by thousands of new options.
24 European languages
We have added the option of switching to 24 different European languages! This will make non-Czech customers very happy because they will be able to switch widget for instance to Spanish!
Optimized interface
We have improved displaying on mobile devices and tablets! Additionally, we have reduced widget demands on the performance of the device. The search engine is therefore faster.

What is the procedure when implementing the new widget?
It depends whether you need to enable our foreign external pick-up point search.
Yes, I do! Then you can implement it in your e-shop solution with the help of library.js. The technical documentation can be found here, tips for implementation can be found on our blog.
I don’t need external pick-up points. You therefore have two options. Either it is possible to implement widget 6 directly. Therefore, you can start using its super benefits immediately, or you can wait until the 1.8.2021, when widget will be automatically switched to the new version for all users.

Tip: We recommend using the mentioned implementation via library.js for all functions that widget v6 offers and will offer in the future because configurator doesn’t support these functions.
What else do you need to know?
It is not possible to change colors on widget, version 6. Therefore, the button, which led to editor and enabled the configuration of color setting, will be deleted from the client section. The customer can easily distinguish the service thanks to its single appearance when browsing in any e-shop.
If I do not do anything, what will happen on July 1, 2021?
On July 1, 2021, widget 5 will be automatically upgraded to the new version. If you do not have time to implement v6 in your e-shop by then, it will change automatically at the beginning of July.
I use the predecessor of widget – JS API. What does it mean for me?
Currently, such clients display v5. As of July 1, 2021, the new version of v6 will automatically start displaying, even if you are using the completely original display of JS API pick-up points.
