As you might know, the summer Olympic Games 2024 are coming up in a few weeks in Paris, France. This mighty event will include some restrictions in several zones of the city to ensure maximum efficiency in the transport of athletes and smooth progress of the Games.
The restrictions will concern home delivery services, FR Colis Privé HD (ID 16080) and FR Colissimo HD (ID 4309) to be exact. The city of Paris will be divided into 3 zones with different degrees of restrictions. You can find detailed info about this down below ⬇️
📦 Service restrictions in home delivery in the city of Paris
Both partner carriers Colissimo and Colis Privé will have to obide the Paris restrictions when the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024 are happening—from 26 July to 11 August.
The city will be divided into 3 zones:
⚪️ Grey zone: zero parcel delivery → all parcels will be redirected to the nearest available drop-off point
🔴 Red zone: pedestrian and cargo bike delivery only → delivery will be executed without motor vehicles
🔵 Blue zone: no restrictions → carriers have negotiated permission for motor vehicles to enter this area for parcel delivery purposes
Parcel delivery may be delayed due to difficulty in accessing certain addresses. This is not only in the Games venues, but also in other regions (for example, during the Olympic Torch relay 🔥 through France).
On the links below, you can find the official presentations of both partner carriers with specifics of the parcel delivery restrictions as well as maps detailing how the zones are divided in the city.
