Planned maintenance of our system
Dear Clients,
we have two important messages for you. As is usually the case, one is good and one is bad. We are really happy about the good one and, thus, we would like to share it with you right now:
We are extending the IP address from which not only the Zásilkovna systems but also the systems of the whole Packeta Group, covering all our entities in Europe, in addition to Zásilkovna, will communicate. You know that we continuously work on improvements in terms of technology, which we have recently informed you about by email as well as on our blog. That is why we are now carrying out the migration of our systems.
Why is it necessary?
Afterwards, the system (through which you send parcels) will be more accessible, and we have also improved system safety. In this way, we are getting ready for the busiest season, Christmas 2020 – and the new system should be able to handle it perfectly!
What will the IP address extension bring and why we are doing it?
Better accessibility 🔴 Higher safety level 🔴 Preparation for the 2020 season 🔴 Performance scaling
We believe that these benefits make sending a parcel slightly easier for you. Now it is time for the bad news: the transition to the new system is associated with an outage, and services will be limited (i.e., no parcels may be submitted):
our system will not be available from Thursday, 7 May at 10 pm to Friday, 8 May at 3 am.
We are very sorry for the planned outage. We have chosen a time when the system is used minimally to ensure the outage limits you as little as possible
TECHNICAL DETAILS
On this website you can test the IP addresses currently used. Did the system find these two addresses below? Then everything is all right, and the only thing that may impact you is the outage of the Zásilkovna submission system.
Current IP address: 185.14.224.140
Newly added IP address: 51.105.105.150
Where, for example, you limit communication to ensure safety by a list of IP addresses authorised with our system (e.g., on your firewall), such a limitation needs to be modified preferably by a link to the FQDN ip.packeta.com, thus, you will always have the up-to-date list of Zásilkovna (i.e. Packeta Group) IP addresses, and everything will work automatically.
It seems a little complicated but, for your IT specialist or server administrator, it will be a piece of cake. Is there nobody like that you can contact? We will be happy to assist you. Please contact your sales representative or our customer service with your questions regarding the IP address change and the system outage.
Thank you very much for your understanding, and we are looking forward to achieving even greater things after this change. Making sending parcels a bit easier for you.
