Packeta Group Continues Its Record Growth. In the First Semester, the Number of Shipped Parcels Increased by 131% and the Turnover Exceeded EUR 84 Million.
Packeta Group, the global e-commerce platform, recorded a turnover of EUR 84.6 million for the first half of 2021. This represents a year-on-year increase of 138%. The volume of shipped parcels reached almost 33.5 million, which is an increase of 131% year-on-year. The number of Packeta’s own pick-up points rose by almost 2,000 to almost 8,000 in the first semester, and the Group has more than 92,000 partner pick-up points. The most significant year-on-year growth in turnover was recorded in Germany by 323%, with a 284% increase in the number of parcels. Romania also achieved very good results, with a 392% increase in the number of parcels and a 166% increase in turnover.
“We have had the most successful semester in Packeta’s history. We grew by more than 110% in all our entities. By the end of the year, we will have launched further exciting projects in the areas of automation, robotics and quality improvement for customers, we will have significantly increased the number of depots and, of course, we are preparing intensively for the Christmas season. Our goal is to be the best partner for internet shops,” says Simona Kijonková, founder and CEO of Packeta Group.
There have also been significant changes across the entities of the entire group. The Slovak Zásielkovňa and the Polish Przesyłkownia have launched a complete rebranding process and are now called Packeta Slovakia and Packeta Poland. The change from Csomagküldő to Packeta Hungary also took place in Hungary, and in Romania, Coletaria is now Packeta Romania. With the exception of the Czech Republic, the name change has taken place in all countries where Packeta operates.
The aim of the rebranding process is to unify the name throughout the Group across Europe. “Customers will quickly and clearly recognize us when shopping from any e-shop around the world. At the same time, the unified brand will allow us to benefit from the synergies of marketing cooperation with other countries,” comments Daniel Tinz, COO for CEE & DACH of Packeta Group.

Another new development is the acquisition of the Slovak company ReMax Courier Service, which now belongs to the Packeta Group. With the multi-million euro acquisition, Packeta has become one of the largest players in the area of parcel delivery in the Slovak market. The acquisition of the company ReMax Courier Service is part of Packeta’s long-term strategy to expand its portfolio with new services.
This year, the Packeta Group is targeting a turnover of 201 million euros and 75 million shipped parcels with a total value of 3.3 billion euros.
