Our year 2022 summed up in numbers #pressrelease
Packeta Group has increased its turnover to 255 million EUR in 2022. This is a 23% increase compared to 2021.
Each year brings new challenges and targets for all e-commerce players. The post-Covid era has had significant ups and downs that largely affected the e-commerce market. We set very ambitious targets for 2022, and we are ready to share the annual results and statistics in this article.
We reached a turnover of 255 000 000 EUR which is a year-on-year increase of 23%. This was a crucial target for us to meet because, throughout 2022, the e-commerce market was experiencing a steady downfall and we´d had two very successful years behind us so the expectations were immensely high.
The number of parcels we transported in 2022 reached 90 million, which is over 15 million more than the year before (and a year-on-year increase of 23%). We managed to achieve this thanks to our steady efforts to improve and modernize our depot network. In 2022, we contributed by opening 2 new robotic depots with 380 parcel-sorting robots PackMen. We also freshened up our depot network by closing a few locations that were no longer performing efficiently enough and opening new modern and technologically advanced depot locations. Our network currently counts 53 strategically located depots across 4 European states.

In 2023, we will focus on improving the quality of our products and services, increasing customer satisfaction, caring for our existing clients, and acquiring new ones.”
Expanding our Z-BOX network was also a crucial target for us. In 2022, we managed to significantly increase the number of installed Z-BOXes to a total of 6 200. This made Packeta the market leader in the Czech Republic with over 3 650 Z-BOX locations and Slovakia with 1 700; as well as an important player in the Hungarian delivery box sector with 800 live locations.
In the last quarter of 2022, we also launched our revolutionary self-service Z-BOXes in Romania which was the fourth country to follow. Packeta opened the Romanian entity only in 2016 so the launch of another innovative sustainable product there marks a huge milestone for us. We put a heavy focus on Z-BOXes overall in 2022. It is evident because only during this one year, we managed to expand our network by almost 4 000 new locations spread across 4 countries.
Our pick-up point network experienced growth as well. At the end of 2022, Packeta had almost 140 000 partner pick-up points in most European states including more than 15 000 company pick-up points across 4 of our international entities.
