Changes regarding Hungarian Post: compulsory local integration and launching new services

We would like to inform you about a new obligation for those operating in Hungary.
On 28 March 2024, an amendment to Hungarian law will come into force, according to which every online shop operating there must offer the option of delivery via carrier Hungarian Post (Magyar Posta) at fixed prices.
What exactly does this mean & who does it concern
The amendment will affect all companies established (registered) in Hungary—companies with a locally registered residence and a local company registration number.
From 28 March 2024, these clients must add both Hungarian Post’s delivery options—home delivery and pick-up point delivery—to their shopping carts.
New delivery options by Hungarian Post
We are happy to announce that we’ll be expanding the delivery options provided by our partner carrier Hungarian Post–opening pick-up point delivery and locker box delivery from 20 March 2024.
As you know, the home delivery service HU Hungarian Post HD is already available in our portfolio. Now, we can announce that in addition to our mentioned plan to open pick-up point delivery as well, we will also be launching locker box delivery thru this carrier.

- Carrier ID: HU Hungarian Post PP (ID 4539)
- Max parcel weight: 15 kg
- Max parcel size: 1 side 70 cm, sum of all 3 sides 120 cm
- Parcels with COD up to 220 000 HUF
- Recipients get notified via text msg and email
- Many locations available 24/7 (gas stations, etc)
- Delivery possible also to locally established post branches

- Carrier ID: HU Hungarian Post Box (ID 29760)
- Max parcel weight: 15 kg
- Max parcel size: 50x35x31 cm
- Parcels with COD up to 220 000 HUF
- Available nonstop
- Convenient pick-up via code received in notification
