COVID-19: Latest information for e-shops

Current information on carriers.
(23.3.2020, 19:20)
Dear clients,
we want to inform you about changes in some carriers’ processes. You can also find all the information in the document below.
What to pay attention to?
- Austria – Austrian Post temporarily cancelled cash on delivery parcels, from now on it is necessary to send only parcels without COD.
- France – Courier Colissimo announced that there would be no parcel delivery on 25 March. They also expect a large delay in delivery.
- Czech Republic – DPD and InTime couriers announced that COD can be paid only by card. In connection with this, they introduced a surcharge for card operations, namely 1.5% of cash on delivery. In response to this situation, we are forced to charge this surcharge.
Our distribution network is fully available, both in the Czech Republic and abroad! Every day, open dispensing points are involved in the system to help us with distribution. At the moment we have over 2 000 pick-up points open and their number is constantly growing.
Below is a summary of all our available information in pdf format. Everything will be updated regularly, both here in the client section and on our blog!
We’ve compiled a summary of all our available information for you, which we’ll update regularly!

Czech DPD, Intime, BDS - payment only by credit card.
(23.3.2020, 11:10 – sent to PL, HU, RO clients)
Dear clients,
czech carriers are constantly implementing various processes and measures to protect your health as much as possible.
DPD, Intime and BDS are no exception – newly their couriers do not accept cash. Cash on delivery can only be paid by card. DPD, Intime and BDS in the Czech Republic also introduced a nationwide surcharge for card operations of 1.5% on cash on delivery.
In response to this situation, we are forced to charge this surcharge.
We know that these quick measures are unpleasant. Unfortunately, this is a reaction to emergency measures and a change in conditions by the Czech DPD, Intime and BDS.
We summarized all the measures of the carriers in a summary table, which we will regularly update according to the situation. We actively publish the latest news and news on our blog!
Sincerely

We are treating your parcels with kid gloves!
(23.3.2020, 11:10 – sent to HU clients)
The Parcel Post and the Packeta Group continue to deliver parcels without restriction.
We are constantly monitoring the developments of the situation and taking all necessary precautions to protect our contracted partners, the recipients of posted parcels and our colleagues. In order to do this, we are following the instructions issued by the government and the Operational Staff, paying special attention to cleanliness and disinfection, and providing protective equipment (masks and gloves) to our colleagues and partners. At the same time, we would like to ask our clients to pay more attention and be more careful not only to protect themselves, but also our partners.
We do our best to safely deliver your parcels. Our international network is available both in Hungary and abroad.
We continue to strive to develop customer support services (such as chatbot or voicebot) and procedures (such as cashless payment) that speed up the payment process, provide greater security, and reduce human contact.
We are in constant contact with our pick-up locations, and we are working to keep their opening hours up-to-date. This information is public and available on our website. We are also tracking all changes in our database, to ensure only the currently open pick-up locations and their details are transferred to the web shops. This applies not only to the pick-up points in Hungary, but to all countries of our company group.
Pursuant to Government Decree No 46/2020 of 16 March 2020, businesses in Hungary (with the exception of several key fields) shall be open until 3 p.m. Therefore parcels can only be received until 3 p.m.
However, many of our pick-up locations have decided to close for an indefinite period of time, which means you will no longer be able to pick up parcels at these locations. This situation is continuously being handled by our colleagues: parcels are redirected primarily (with the recipient’s knowledge and consent) to other close pick-up locations still functioning. Or, if the above is not possible, we can change the method of delivery to home delivery.
What is the situation abroad?
We are all prepared for the top-quality delivery of your parcels even in this difficult situation. Our international logistics network continues to function reliably, and we striving to deliver all parcels abroad. Currently, delays are expected due to the introduction of border controls and the various measures introduced by foreign carriers. Most carriers have significantly reduced their delivery capacity, or only accept bank card payments.
However, as the situation is changing, some countries are continuously introducing new restrictive measures. All available information (in English) can be found in our continuously updated blog.
Sincerely

Your parcels are in good hands!
(23.3.2020, 14:20 – sent to PL, RO clients)
Dear clients,
On our side, we are doing our utmost to deliver your parcels. I assure you that our distribution network is fully available. Every day, open pick-up points are involved in the system to help us with the distribution. Given the current situation and security, we are still working to improve customer support processes (such as chatbot or voicebot) and operations (such as cashless payments), to speed up spending, ensure security, and eliminate people’s contact. At the same time, we are strengthening our own logistics network for delivery to the address.
Safety is our priority, so we have provided protective equipment, such as masks and gloves, to our drivers and partners at pick-up points. We also ask all customers for increased consideration at the points of sale to protect not only them but also our partners. Thanks to these measures, we try to minimize the concentration of people and the issue lasts in the order of tens of seconds, therefore even the non-cash payments.
And how is it abroad?
Even in the current difficult situation, we are ready to arrange the transport of your goods in the best quality. Our international network and logistics work and we are trying to deliver all shipments abroad. We are currently struggling with delays due to the reintroduction of border controls and various measures that are gradually being introduced by foreign carriers. Most of them significantly reduce the capacity of shipments or require only card payments.
We’ve compiled a summary of all our available information for you, which we’ll update regularly on the blog and in the client section.
Sincerely

Shipment delay by Slovak's GLS.
(Sent to PL, HU, RO clients)
Dear clients,
Slovak GLS informed us today that due to the current situation and the capacity of their logistics network in Slovakia, they limit the daily volume of shipments. For this reason, Slovak GLS shipments may be delayed for several days.
Our main priority at this time is to keep the quality of our services at the best possible level.
