Christmas Season with Packeta
The season is just around the corner and we have plenty of information for you regarding the operation of Packeta in the upcoming months. Do you want to know about what the operation of our depots will be like during the season, or which European carriers are introducing seasonal surcharges? You have come to the right place! Shorter Storage Time of Parcels for Faster Processing
Reducing storage time helps keep network capacity more flexible, while encouraging customers to pick up their parcels faster. And this means that cash on delivery amounts will be in your bank accounts much sooner too.
Pick-up Point: 5 + 2
You have 5 days to pick up your parcel when the pick-up point is open. The extension will be possible by a maximum of another 2 days for a total of 7 days (via the app, only by one day, up to a maximum of 2 opening days of the pick-up point). This is valid starting 1 November 2021.
❗The reduced storage time will apply to all of our pick-up points in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
Z-BOX: 2 + 1
You have 2 calendar days to pick up your parcel. Extension will be possible by a maximum of 1 day for a total of 3 calendar days. This is valid starting 15 November 2021.
The reduced storage time will apply to all of our Z-BOXes in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

What can you do to ensure that your customers receive their parcels for Christmas on time?
The most important thing is to hand over the parcels to us well in advance. Based on where you are submitting parcels, we have a very important date 20. 12. 2021 (when submitting at a depot in the Czech Republic) that we recommend you keep in mind.
* In addition to delivery by means of our own vans and drivers, delivery to the address is also handled by our logistics partners, and due to processing capacity and our own deadlines, the latest date of sending to the address is earlier.
Operation of Our Depots During the Christmas Season
Until the end of the year, we want to operate even during public holidays. We are planning to keep the depots and the collections running as much as possible, so that we can deliver all the parcels you hand over to us without any complications.
And What Will the Situation Be like During Advent?
On Saturdays 11 and 18 December 2021, the depots will operate in the so-called Friday mode, and, therefore, you can count on collections. In any case, we will do everything possible to ensure that parcels are on their way to customers as soon as possible.
Our depots will be closed on Christmas Eve so that we can all enjoy the important moments with our families around our Christmas trees.
It is good to know that: The above mentioned dates refer exclusively to the operation of depots. As every year, our pick-up points will update their opening hours so that you can check our website as soon as possible and find out when and at which pick-up point to submit parcels during Christmas.
What about parcels sent abroad?
Our logistics partners have also sent us their recommended dates for submitting parcels. The dates are valid for parcel submissions at our depot. Do you submit parcels at our submission points? Then you should always consider submitting your parcels at least one working day earlier.
Of course, you can ship your packages after these dates. We will do our best to deliver your parcels to your customers before Christmas. However, if you ship your parcels after the recommended dates, the risk of the parcels not reaching your customers in time or not being able to pick them up increases every day.
Seasonal Surcharges of Carriers in Europe
Our logistics partners are already preparing for several times higher parcel volumes during the pre-Christmas period. In order to cope with the increase without collapse, most of them are regulating the quantity of packages by temporarily increasing prices. We are therefore forced to reflect their seasonal surcharges in our price list.
