Extending parcel insurance options with Colissimo HD
Dear clients,
We are broadening our services in France. From Monday, November 20, we’ll be launching a new service of additional parcel insurance with Colissimo HD.
This new service will offer more diverse insurance possibilities for parcels delivered via carrier Colissimo HD (ID 4309). We expect it will be appreciated especially by clients who ship parcels with higher value and want to take that extra assurance step.

ℹ️ How do I get my parcel insured?
In the client section, after selecting the carrier FR Colissimo HD (ID 4309), you´ll find a check box you can tick ✅ if you want to add the additional insurance to your shipment. If you submit parcels via API, all important info can be found in the API documentation.
ℹ️ If additional insurance is not required, what happens in case of a claim?
In this case, the claim procedure will proceed as you were used to up until now.
ℹ️ What are the benefits of additional parcel insurance?
If you additionally insure your parcel, in case of an accepted claim by an external carrier, you will be paid an amount according to the purchase invoice up to the maximum value that was stated upon parcel submission into our system.
ℹ️ Is the additional insurance mandatory?
No, it´s not. It is an optional service that you can start using from 20 November 2023.
Please note that the additional parcel insurance is conditioned by the signature service. This means that if you apply for the additional insurance, you are automatically requesting the paid signature service. Therefore, both these services will be invoiced to you.
