Packeta Group, which owns the Czech logistics and tech company Zásilkovna, has decided to take advantage of the long-standing high interest of investors to explore the conditions under which it could use external funds and know-how to further grow and strengthen the company´s market position, similar to what a number of other Czech tech companies have done in recent years.
Packeta Group is a very successful logistics and technology company that has been the subject of investor interest for many years. Packeta has been achieving solid growth for a long time. Its services and products are used by a continuously increasing number of customers—both online shops and C2C clients—in Central and Eastern Europe.
“We can confirm that preparations are currently underway to approach selected investors. We will not comment further on the details; the results cannot be predicted at this time.”
Simona Kijonková CEO & Founder of Packeta Group
In 2022, despite the decline of the entire e-commerce segment, Packeta achieved consolidated sales of 255 million EUR, an increase of 23% compared to 2021. The total number of transported parcels reached 90 million in 2022, a 22.8% increase year-on-year (more here). Packeta plans to maintain double-digit revenue growth in the coming years as well.
Packeta has so far financed its development and expansion from its own financial resources. In April this year, due to its size, it secured attractive financing of over 40 million EUR from a consortium of three banks—Citibank, Česká spořitelna, and UniCredit Bank.
