How it all came to be
Packeta was originally founded back in 2010 with a clear vision—to create and provide simple, convenient, and efficient delivery solutions to clients across all available markets. We also opened our very first offices and the first-ever pick-up point in the Czech Republic that year. Since then, we´ve been expanding and expanding—growing our network and spreading our mission. We have grown into a strong and stable company that focuses on innovation, simplicity, and sustainability in logistics.
Four years later, in 2014, we entered our first foreign market—Slovakia. And, since we established our presence there, the growth trajectory has been more than evident. In 2015, we expanded to Hungary, a year later to Romania, in 2017 to Poland, and another year later to Germany. Then, we focused on developing our brand awareness and market share in these markets, creating valuable partnerships with clients and executing meaningful business activities. The last country we entered was Slovenia at the beginning of 2023, where we are present under the entity Packeta Adriatic—a cluster of sorts that we plan on expanding of several more states from the former Yugoslavia gradually.

Home delivery, robots, and more
In 2021, we developed our own home delivery service called Packeta Home to ensure the absolute top quality for our customers. This service is available in Czechia and Slovakia and processes tens of thousands of parcel deliveries every day. Our system has a ton of customer-friendly features, including courier tracking and modernized notifications.
When it comes to e-commerce, we are the digital platform that sets trends beyond the gates of logistics. We also have a wide network of strategically located depots across Europe, so we can ensure maximum efficiency of parcel collection and delivery. At our depots, except our employees, we have a fleet of parcel-sorting robots—PackMen. They can carry parcels weighing up to 15 kilos and in just 1 hour, they can sort up to 10 000 parcels.

Numbers, numbers, numbers 📊
Each year brings new challenges and targets for us at Packeta. The post-Covid era in the e-commerce sector has had its significant ups and downs that all of us had to face.
- In 2022, we reached a turnover of 255 000 000 EUR which is a year-on-year increase of 23%. This was a crucial target for us to meet because, throughout 2022, the e-commerce market was experiencing a steady decline.
- The number of parcels we transported in 2022 turned out as 90 million, which is over 15 million more than the year before.
- We´ve improved and modernized our depot network by opening 2 new robotic depots with 380 parcel-sorting robots PackMen. Our depot network currently counts over 50 strategically located depots across 4 European states.
- And, we´ve extensively boosted our Z-BOX network which has grown by almost 4 000 new locations during 2022. Our solar-powered self-service Z-BOXes can now be found in 4 countries and customers have 5 500+ locations to choose from.

International logistic partnerships
We cooperate with over 50 local carriers across Europe, covering almost the entire continent. But the European border is not where we stop, we also have partner carriers in the USA, the UAE, Turkey, and Israel. With a single connection, you can use the services of dozens of European carriers. Our partner carriers are reliable which means we are able to ensure secure parcel delivery across 33 world countries. We provide services through our products in 4 of our entities, but the service portfolio differs in each country.
Integrating into our digital platform is quick and easy—1 API connection is all it takes. You can then expand to other countries and connect to dozens of European carriers such as DPD, DHL, FedEx, InPost, Hermes, Speedy, BOXNOW, Colissimo, Royal Mail, or Meest.
This one integration also enables direct label printing, so with only 1 system, you can print labels for parcels straight away, no matter the carrier or the target destination. Simplicity is what we represent and automated label printing makes life easier for everyone.
Outside of providing top-notch products across several international markets, we also put focus on brand stretching and increasing our sales presence. This is possible thanks to cooperation with popular international brands or integrating our services into foreign marketplaces 🤝
A good example of such a partnership is our recently-launched cooperation with Allegro, the largest marketplace in Poland. Allegro is the most popular shopping platform there and one of the largest e-commerce players in Europe. Customers can shop for products from over 135 000 companies—the platform has over 90 million active offers on foreign markets. Each month, Allegro is visited by 22 million customers, that’s 80% of all internet users in Poland. And that is far from the end; a couple months ago, we also integrated our delivery solutions into Kaufland marketplace which is currently present in Germany, Slovakia, and Czechia.
We offer your customers choices when it comes to paying for parcel delivery. Customer preferences differ and by integrating Packeta, you can accommodate them all.
At pick-up points, you can pay COD in cash, by card, or contactless via Apple Pay or Google Pay. Packeta mobile app also enables paying via Apple Pay or Google Pay which of course applies to Z-BOX delivery because our solar-powered boxes pair with the app via Bluetooth for parcel pick-up and shipping. Our home delivery couriers are also equipped with payment terminals, so paying COD for parcels delivered comfortably to your doorstep is no problem either 😌

Riding the sustainable wave 
We value the environment and make it our goal to treat it with humility and respect. Our journey toward green logistics is nowhere near the end but we focus on taking small steps every day to achieve what will one day be an industry completely aligned with our environment. Our planet is starting to give us a taste of the way humans have been treating it, that´s why it´s so important to approach the future with respect and create solutions mindfully. Because in the end, it is we, our generation, who will decide the fate of those who come after us. This is the reason behind our efforts to find green ways.
We want to create change that lasts. So we have been working on green projects that have the potential to be truly revolutionary. In April 2022, we launched E-bike delivery—a sustainable delivery solution tailored for last-mile urban delivery. We have our own contactless parcel lockers—Z-BOXes—that are fully solar-powered and completely self-sufficient. Furthermore, we want to become pioneers of hydrogen use in logistics, not only because parcel delivery is one of the most promising opportunities for hydrogen mobility, but also because using hydrogen is the fastest way of lowering the carbon footprint.

Even our Prague headquarters are green
In March of 2022, Packeta headquarters in Prague were moved into a new space into the Balabenka Office Building. In the new building, where we reside on 2 floors, our architects put incredible effort into designing the open-space offices as well as our large outdoor area to create a calm and nurturing place that meets our employees´ needs and requirements.
When creating the proposal for our new company space, we wanted to focus on a clean and airy atmosphere with sustainable features. We wanted to make the offices as green as possible so our team installed solar panels on the roof of the building, and we are using the energy to power a charging station for electric cars that we built in the garage as well as directing the surplus energy to power equipment that supports building operations. There are walls made from old cardboard boxes all around the open-space office, plus we have our own waste-sorting system. Moreover, we use LED energy-saving lighting, water the greenery in and around the premises from a groundwater retention tank, and our building even has its own compost 🍃 #gogreen
