Higher quality of delivery thanks to UTF-8 encoding
Higher quality of delivery thanks to UTF-8 encoding
Dear Clients,
proper coding of imported data significantly increases the quality of delivery and mainly reduces the risk of erroneous data and the percentage of undeliverable parcels. For this reason, we have decided to set new file encoding rules for bulk submission of parcels in the client section (i.e. CSV / XML / etc. import), which will apply from 1 July 2020. From this date, all source files will have to comply with UTF-8 encoding, which is crucial in the process of validation and transmission of electronic data across all carriers in the world.
1 July 2020
What does this mean for you?
The rules will not take effect until July 1, 2020, but the client section will start checking the uploaded source files now. If the coding is correct, the parcels will be imported and submitted as usual. If the uploaded file does not conform to UTF-8 encoding, then:
- until 30 June 2020, the import will be successful, i.e. parcels will be submitted into the system;
- immediately after importing the file, we will inform you about the incorrect coding so that you, your programmers and other administrators have enough time to edit the file for the next import.
We tried to set the date and notifications in the client section so that you have enough time to edit the source files. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this regard. Thanks to correct coding, we will improve the quality of the services provided.
The above information does not apply to the manual submission of parcels (ie directly in the Post parcel section).
Thank you for your understanding,
