Seasonal surcharges
of partner carriers
As every year, selected partner carriers abroad have announced seasonal surcharges for their services because of expected higher volumes of processed parcels in high season.
Seasonal surcharges are an inevitable part of the upcoming high season. In order to cope with the increase in parcel volumes without collapse, some of our partner carriers abroad are temporarily increasing prices. This will ensure maximum process efficiency and quality of services for customers.
FedEx seasonal surcharges will be invoiced as part of the Air surcharge (Air Freight).
Please note that these surcharges will be implemented into our price list in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions. The above-mentioned surcharges apply to parcel drop-off (submission) in the Czech Republic, prices for drop-off in other countries might differ.
Shortened parcel storage period
at pick-up points
During peak season, which occurs every year before Christmas time, we shorten parcel storage period at Packeta pick-up points to keep parcel volumes flowing smoothly. It keeps our network capacity more flexible and encourages recipients to pick their parcels up quicker. It also means that COD amounts make it to the target bank accounts sooner.
This year, shortened parcel storage period will be valid from 3 November 2025 in:
Czechia
Slovakia
Romania
Hungary
After the parcel storage period expires, parcels that were not picked up will be returned to senders.
CZ, SK, RO: 4+2
4 days for parcel pick-up (based on opening hours), extension is possible by 2 days only
HU: 5+2
5 days for parcel pick-up (based on opening hours), extension is possible by 2 days only

Thru Packeta mobile app (easiest and fastest solution ).
Via the link you received in the email notification of your parcel´s delivery to the target pick-up location.

Ensuring parcel delivery to our customers by 24.12. should be a given To make that happen, we need those parcels in our system or at our depots by a certain date each year. This gives both parties (the carrier and the customer) certainty that their parcels will be delivered to the target destination on time.
